What's Next?

Set a direction.  Measure what matters.
In a word, COMPASS.

If you don't measure it, you can't manage it.

COMPASS, a program spearheaded by the Capital Region Partnership and the Capital Region Council of Governments, will help Metro Hartford focus on concrete steps for adding good jobs, increasing workforce skill and enhancing our quality of life and place.

The other goals of COMPASS are to:

  • Develop a prioritized action agenda for good jobs, a skilled workforce and quality of life and place
  • Identify promising practices locally and nationally that would advance a community agenda in each of these three focus areas
  • Identify and capitalize on specific opportunities in each of the three areas
  • Recruit champions for these initiatives from the community, and
  • Track and report progress to the community regularly.

It's time to start pulling in the same direction. Like we mean it.
