They want culture.   They want quality public services delivered at good value.  They want to live, work and play where it’s clean and safe.  They want effective, ethical government. 

They want good schools for their kids - really good schools.  They want libraries and parks. They want clean air and water.  They want fast, affordable, reliable transit.  They want affordable, appealing housing options.  They want a little wilderness within reach where they can get away and enjoy nature.

A high quality place to live, work and play is essential to attracting highly skilled, highly educated knowledge workers and the businesses that employ them to the region – and keeping them here.

To meet this challenge, towns will have to collaborate on new ways to keep costs down, employing the negotiating power that comes with regional size and clout.  Towns will have to collaborate to preserve the very essence of Connecticut's uniqueness - its landscape and New England charm.
