Metro Hartford is a region. We have a shared future. The Capital Region Partnership’s Regional Collaboration Project is about getting behind MetroHartford's people, prosperity, and place - and making the most of them. Why? Because 21st century society is highly mobile. Odds are, you live in one town and work in another. Our mobile society makes it easy to shop, go out to eat, go out to a movie or show or attend religious services in still others.
Ever gone to a show at the Bushnell?
Shopped in Manchester? Gone out to eat in West
Hartford? Gone to UConn for hoops or football?
Communities within an easy drive of one We are a region. We have a shared future. And the challenges we face in our region can be solved only if we tackle them together. Our 21st century mobile society also includes challenges like traffic congestion, affordable housing shortages, air and water pollution, sprawl, and "brain drain." Issues like those are regional. They don’t start and stop at the borders of any particular town. They won't be solved on a town-by-town basis with each town acting in isolation. No town can go it alone. It's time to start pulling in the same direction. Like we mean it. Learn more about people, prosperity and place>> |
